Kia Rondo Si

Kia’s pint sized people mover, the Kia Rondo has finished at the top of its category in the recent Wheels Magazine Gold Star Awards.

The award was given based on a wide range of criteria including purchase warranty, price, safety, retained value, insurance costs, service intervals, fuel economy and driveability.

The Kia Rondo Si valued at $27,990 ousted Nissan’s Dualis ST and the Honda Odyssey due to it’s affordability in terms of purchase price, fuel economy, reasonable insurance costs and 5-year unlimited kilometre warranty.

“We are delighted with the Kia Rondo’s latest achievement, particularly in such a competitive market,” said Kia Motors Australia Chief Operating Officer, Tony Barlow.

“Kia Rondo is just one of many cars in the Kia range which sets the bar for value pricing without compromising safety, comfort, performance or style. All existing and future models will satisfy these requirements to ensure Kia customers receive the best value for money proposition available.”

The Kia Rondo comes standard with 15” alloy wheels as well as front, side and curtain airbags. Additional safety features include ABS with electronic brake force distribution and electronic stability control with traction control.

Bluetooth connectivity is also standard across the Kia Rondo range, offering hands-free mobile phone connectivity and media streaming, all controlled by steering wheel mounted controls.

The Kia Rondo Si is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder engine with DOHC and VVT, which meets the stringent EURO IV emissions requirements and is matched to either a 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission.

The Kia Rondo is available in seven colours including Clear White, Black Cherry, Tomato Red. Moonlight Blue, Titanium Silver, Vanilla Shake and Bright Silver.

The recommended retail price for the Kia Rondo Si manual is $25,990 with the Kia Rondo Si automatic priced at $27,990. The range topping Kia Rondo SLi is priced at $31,390.
